Grab a copy of the Saba Lace or Saba Spice guide, and request the walking tour route through Windwardside or The Bottom. If you're flying out on Winair's famously short runway, ask them to time your taxi so you can watch a landing from the airport lookout first.

The Practical Stuff
Located in Windwardside, Saba's main village and the natural base for most visitors. Best visited first thing after arrival from Winair or the ferry from Sint Maarten. Bring cash (USD is standard) for marine park tags and small vendors, wear real shoes since everything on Saba involves steps, and note that Sunday hours are limited across the island. Weather shifts fast at altitude, so ask about cloud cover on Mt. Scenery before committing to the summit hike.
