The bedroom is cool and hushed, air-conditioned around a four-poster queen bed, while the sitting room is furnished in hand-woven banana-wicker couches and chairs that whisper 'Caribbean craft, not resort catalog.' A fully equipped kitchen means you can throw together a picnic for a hike up the Mountain, but the real magic happens on the wraparound covered porch, where sea-breeze afternoons blur into star-blanketed nights, and the whole village of Windwardside — gingerbread cottages, red roofs, white walls — seems arranged for your view.

During mango season (roughly June through September), pick fruit straight from the tree overhead and slice it over yogurt at the kitchen counter. Ask the front desk to arrange a taxi to Ladder Bay or a dive briefing with one of the village outfitters — the suite is walking distance to almost everything Windwardside offers.

Request the porch table be set for dinner in and grab takeaway from a nearby restaurant — the covered deck with its sea view is genuinely one of the best 'restaurants' on the island, and it's free with your room. Also: bring a light sweater. Windwardside sits at nearly 1,800 ft, and evenings can feel surprisingly cool by Caribbean standards.
