The Experience
Juliana's isn't a resort — it's a village within the village. Seventeen accommodations are scattered across a garden compound, from budget-friendly garden- and ocean-view rooms to three named suites (Captain's, Mango, Lily Pond) and two full two-bedroom cottages (Orchid and Flossie's) for travelers who want a proper Saban home base. Days start with a complimentary breakfast at Tropics Café, drift through a swim in the pool with panoramic sea and mountain views, and end at the Tipsy Goat Bar, where guests, expats, and locals mix easily. The on-site Studio hosts workshops and private art lessons from visiting artists — a quietly unusual amenity for a Caribbean hotel this size. Rooms come with the modern basics (A/C, Wi-Fi, satellite TV) but the real charm is the wooden shutters, red-roofed cottages, and the fact that everything in the village — restaurants, dive shops, the Mount Scenery trailhead — is a short walk down the lane.
What to Try
Book one of the named suites or the Orchid/Flossie's cottages if you're staying more than three nights — the extra space and private terraces are worth the upgrade, and cottages come with full kitchens for cooking with market finds. Time at least one breakfast on the Tropics Café terrace before the clouds roll over Mount Scenery, and don't skip a sunset cocktail at the Tipsy Goat. If your visit overlaps with a Studio workshop, sign up — it's the sort of thing you won't find at any other hotel on the island.

Ask for an ocean-view room on the upper level when you book — the elevation over Windwardside means you get both the Caribbean horizon and the green flanks of Mount Scenery from the same balcony, and the trade winds keep the room cool enough that you'll barely need the A/C.

Tropics Café serves breakfast daily and lunch/dinner six days a week. Pool, terrace, BBQ grills, and the Tipsy Goat Bar are on-site. Walk-everywhere location means you don't need a rental car if you're sticking to Windwardside; arrange a taxi transfer from the airport in advance since taxis don't queue.
