The terminal is compact and easy to navigate: a single main building with check-in downstairs and departures upstairs. Expect a relaxed island pace at check-in counters serving American, Delta, United, JetBlue, Air Canada and regional carriers, then a short walk through security and passport control to the departure zone, where most of the dining and shopping lives. On busy winter-season days (especially Friday afternoons and Sunday evenings when US flights cluster together), lines can build quickly for such a small terminal, so pacing your arrival matters more here than at big hub airports.

Once you're airside, grab a proper Caribbean coffee at the Rituals Coffee House branch or settle into the main restaurant-lounge area for burgers, sandwiches and salads before boarding. If you want air-conditioned calm, day-pass access to the departure lounge is worth it in the Caribbean heat ΓÇö some lounges accept DragonPass. Before you fly out, save room for one last island meal nearby: Carambola Beach Club on South Friars Bay does an elegant beachfront lunch about 15 minutes away, and Port Zante in downtown Basseterre has casual spots if you have a couple of hours to spare.

And do your souvenir and duty-free shopping in town first: the airside selection is limited, and prices at Port Zante are better.
