When you've had your fill of jerk, ribs, and lobster, this little glass-fronted kitchen at the Royal St. Kitts Hotel serves up sushi rolls, pad Thai, and crab rangoon that feel wonderfully out of place ΓÇö in the best way ΓÇö on a Caribbean island.
The Experience
Asian Voyage is small on purpose. A handful of high-tops, a six-seat bar, and a picture window into the kitchen where you can watch the chefs roll sushi and fire the wok. The vibe is modern-casual ΓÇö white walls, low lighting, a hum of chill-out music ΓÇö the kind of place where a quick dinner easily stretches into a second round of drinks. Because it sits right off Zenway Boulevard in Frigate Bay, it pulls a nice mix of hotel guests, locals in the know, and Kittitians on date night, so tables can vanish quickly on weekends. Service is warm and unhurried; the owners are usually on the floor, and they'll happily walk you through the pan-Asian menu that skips between Chinese, Japanese, and Thai without losing its footing.
What to Try
Start with the crab rangoon or spring rolls — both are made-to-order and worth the small wait. From the sushi bar, the Red Dragon roll is the crowd favorite, but the Ebi Tempura and Spicy Tuna are equally tight and generously portioned. If you're in a Thai mood, the pad Thai is a reliable win; for something heartier, order one of the wok-fired beef or chicken entrées and share family-style. Portions are bigger than the intimate room suggests, so pace yourself.
Insider Tip
Skip the Friday and Saturday dinner rush and come on a Tuesday or Wednesday evening ΓÇö same kitchen, same menu, but you'll get a seat at the glass kitchen window where the chefs will chat with you between rolls. Takeout is genuinely fast here, so if you're staying nearby it's an easy 'beach-day-off' dinner back at the villa.
