St Maarten / St Martin (Princess Juliana and Grand Case) is tied for 3rd overall with Bahamas (Nassau) (70.6) and ranks 1st regionally (98.9). It is a gateway with 10,746 extra-regional seats. The island is counted as one unit across two countries and two airports, and flights between them are not counted. Princess Juliana (Sint Maarten) accounts for 359 departures and 19,463 seats (85.3%); Grand Case (Saint-Martin) for 74 departures and 3,350 seats (14.7%).

It serves 22 Caribbean islands, the most in the index. The Caribbean takes 52.9% of its seats, the United States 32.0%, Europe 8.9%, Canada 4.3% and Latin America 1.8%. Leading routes are St Barths, with 192 departures and 2,248 seats on St Barth Commuter (PV), Air Caraïbes (TX) and Winair (WM); Guadeloupe (Pointe-à-Pitre) with 41 departures on Air Caraïbes; St Eustatius and Saba with 22 departures each on Winair; and St Kitts with 16.

As a gateway, the island received 65 extra-regional arrivals with 12,456 seats, 30.1% of them long-haul. All of these seats (100.0%) had a same-day option, to 13 islands. All of those connections are at Princess Juliana, with a median wait of 1.7 h.

Of its Caribbean seats, 840 are KLM (KL) legs to Trinidad of flights continuing to Amsterdam (AMS), and that route pair is flagged for uneven directions. In full-year 2025 data, departing flights to the United States were 80.4% full.

Score and rank

The connectivity score is an index on 0–100 built from departures, destinations, airlines, hub links and seats; the regional score uses the Caribbean subset only. Both are defined in the methodology. Not a percentage — an island does not have "96% connectivity".

Low season against peak

Peak week pending. This edition measures the week of 19 October 2026 only, and that week is an early shoulder week rather than the bottom of the season — some winter services start in October and others in November and December. The peak week is collected separately, and no low-versus-peak comparison is shown until it exists.
