| Weekly departures | Weekly seats | Destinations | Airlines | Largest carrier share |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 194 | 13,579 | 24 | 12 | 31.9% |
Providenciales ranks 8th overall (52.4) and 7th regionally (60.7). It is a regional connector: it serves 13 Caribbean islands, its largest partner takes 31.6% of its Caribbean departures, and it has 4,949 weekly Caribbean seats. Its 8,630 extra-regional seats fall short of the 9,500 gateway threshold, so it sits near the boundary between the two roles.
The United States takes 57.6% of its seats, the Caribbean 36.4% and Canada 5.9%. The busiest route is to Grand Turk (GDT), with 43 departures and 1,197 seats on Caicos Express (9Q) and interCaribbean (JY). Cap Haitien (CAP) and South Caicos (XSC) follow with 21 departures each, then Miami (MIA) with 20 departures and 2,304 seats on American Airlines (AA) and IBC Airways (II).
American Airlines is the largest carrier with 31.9% of seats (HHI 1,832), and 25.0% of destinations have two or more airlines. Only Providenciales is indexed; Grand Turk, South Caicos and North Caicos are outside the index and count as destinations. The figures include 660 seats on legs between Providenciales and Bahamas (Nassau) of a British Airways (BA) flight to and from London Heathrow (LHR).
Score and rank
The connectivity score is an index on 0–100 built from departures, destinations, airlines, hub links and seats; the regional score uses the Caribbean subset only. Both are defined in the methodology. Not a percentage — an island does not have "96% connectivity".
| Measure | Score | Rank |
|---|---|---|
| Overall | 52.4 | #8 of 28 |
| Regional (Caribbean only) | 60.7 | #7 of 28 |

Resilience
How exposed this island's connectivity is to one airline or one route stopping. All three figures are derived from the route table below, so they can be checked against it.

|---|---|
| Largest carrier by seats | American at 31.9% of seats |
| Destinations served by 2+ airlines | 6 of 24 (25.0%) |
| Most-served Caribbean destination | GDT, carrying 31.6% of Caribbean departures |

Low season against peak
Peak week pending. This edition measures the week of 19 October 2026 only, and that week is an early shoulder week rather than the bottom of the season — some winter services start in October and others in November and December. The peak week is collected separately, and no low-versus-peak comparison is shown until it exists.
