| 290 | 47,062 | 35 | 25 | 21.8% |
Jamaica (Montego Bay and Kingston) ranks 5th overall (63.8) but 15th regionally (45.6). It is a gateway with 42,450 extra-regional seats; the Caribbean takes 9.8% of its seats. Montego Bay accounts for 172 departures and 28,896 seats (61.4%), Kingston for 118 departures and 18,166 seats (38.6%).
The United States takes 64.0% of seats, Canada 10.9% (the highest Canadian share in the index), the Caribbean 9.8%, Latin America 8.3% and Europe 7.0%. Leading routes are New York (JFK), with 39 departures and 6,498 seats on JetBlue (B6), Caribbean Airlines (BW) and Delta Air Lines (DL); Atlanta (ATL) with 31; Toronto (YYZ) with 29 on four carriers; Miami (MIA) with 29; and Fort Lauderdale (FLL) with 28.
JetBlue is the largest carrier at 21.8% of seats (HHI 1,098), and 22.9% of destinations have two or more airlines. Providenciales takes 22.0% of Caribbean departures. As a gateway, Jamaica received 247 extra-regional arrivals with 41,902 seats, 7.2% of them long-haul. Only 22.7% of those seats had a same-day option, the lowest share among gateways, though the options reach 8 islands. All of them are at Kingston, with a median wait of 2.9 h; no extra-regional arrival at Montego Bay had a same-day option.
Ocho Rios and Negril are not indexed. In full-year 2025 data, departing flights to the United States were 79.7% full.
Score and rank
The connectivity score is an index on 0–100 built from departures, destinations, airlines, hub links and seats; the regional score uses the Caribbean subset only. Both are defined in the methodology. Not a percentage — an island does not have "96% connectivity".

Destinations and airlines
Jamaica has 9 direct Caribbean destinations and 26 beyond the region, with 41 of its 290 weekly departures staying inside the Caribbean. It has direct service to 19 of the index's connecting hubs.

Resilience
How exposed this island's connectivity is to one airline or one route stopping. All three figures are derived from the route table below, so they can be checked against it.
| Carrier concentration (HHI on seats) | 1,098 of 10,000 — higher is more concentrated |
|---|---|
| Largest carrier by seats | JetBlue at 21.8% of seats |
| Destinations served by 2+ airlines | 8 of 36 (22.2%) |
| Most-served Caribbean destination | PLS, carrying 22.0% of Caribbean departures |
Gateway reach
Long-haul arrivals at the cluster gateway that connect onward to Jamaica within the same day, with the best total journey time. Only islands in a gateway cluster have this.

Load factors
Actual passengers against actual seats, from Eurostat (2024) and BTS T-100 (2025). Monthly and historical: these do not describe the reference week. Route-months the source reports inconsistently are excluded, so every figure here is publishable.
| Source | Direction | Market | Months | Load factor |

| T100I | Outbound | North America | 12 | 79.7% |
Low season against peak
Peak week pending. This edition measures the week of 19 October 2026 only, and that week is an early shoulder week rather than the bottom of the season — some winter services start in October and others in November and December. The peak week is collected separately, and no low-versus-peak comparison is shown until it exists.
Routes
Every scheduled departure in the reference week, grouped by destination and airline. Seats are estimated; see the methodology for how, and for what "estimated" excludes.
