Statia has one of the Caribbean's most protected marine parks and Aquarium is a legitimate top-tier dive site — ask the front desk to coordinate a morning boat dive with Scubaqua or Golden Rock Dive Center before breakfast, then come back to the infinity pool to decompress (surface interval, technically). Also: the island runs on 'Statia time' and shops close early, so grab groceries from Duggins or Mazinga the moment you land if you plan to use your kitchenette.
