Holland Lodge feels less like a business hotel and more like a well-kept Surinamese guesthouse that grew up. The property has two pools and it matters which side of the hotel your room faces: ask for a room on the courtyard/garden side (away from Mahonylaan) for the quietest sleep, and specifically request the adults-only pool wing if you're travelling without kids. Also ΓÇö reception can arrange a fixed-price taxi to Domburg or the Commewijne river tours that's noticeably cheaper than what the tour desks in the center quote.
