The Experience
Aanansi runs out of Fond Assau in Babonneau, a rural pocket of the northeast where the hills fold into banana, coconut and citrus groves. After hotel or cruise-ship pickup (most north-coast properties are inside a 20-minute transfer window), you get kitted out and put through a short safety circuit that mirrors the real trail conditions, so first-timers stop white-knuckling the throttle before they even leave base. From there it's roughly three hours of narrow farm tracks, root-strewn climbs and a payoff ridge with a panoramic Atlantic view on the northeast coast. What to Try
Book the standard guided plantation-and-ridge loop for the full three-hour experience with the Atlantic overlook. If you're travelling as a couple, ask about riding two-up on a single quad; if you're with kids or nervous drivers, request a slower group so the pace matches. Book at least two days ahead - Aanansi is repeatedly the top ATV outfit on TripAdvisor for the island and daytime slots vanish when cruise ships are in port. Wear clothes and closed shoes you're happy to write off; the red mud of Babonneau does not come out. And ride in the morning if you can - afternoon showers on the northeast coast turn the fun-slippery trails into properly-slippery trails.
