Bottle and More: St Barth's Grand Cru Cellar in Les Tamarins

A serious wine merchant tucked in the island's quiet commercial zone

Why Go

Skip the resort markups—this is where villa hosts, yacht chefs, and in-the-know locals stock up on grand crus, small-batch rums, and chilled champagne before sunset.

The Experience

Bottle and More sits in the ZA Les Tamarins commercial zone at Petite Saline, a five-minute drive from Saint-Jean and worlds away from the polished boutiques of Gustavia. The vibe is caviste-meets-warehouse: cool, calm, and organized, with shelves that reward slow browsing. Expect a genuinely deep bench of French terroirs—Burgundy, Bordeaux, Rhône, Champagne, Loire—alongside organic bottles, aged rhums agricoles, and single-malt whiskies. The team speaks fluent 'what are you eating tonight?' and will happily match a bottle to your grilled lobster, tuna tataki, or beach picnic. Because they open at 7:30 AM, this is also the go-to for early risers provisioning a boat day before the harbor gets busy.

What to Try

Ask for a crisp Sancerre or a Provençal rosé for lunch on the sand; a grand cru Burgundy or a well-aged Bordeaux for villa dinners; a rhum agricole vieux from Martinique or Guadeloupe for after-dinner sipping; and a magnum of grower Champagne for anything worth celebrating. Don't overlook the cellar accessories—stoppers, decanters, and travel sleeves that actually survive the flight home.

Insider Tip

Come before 11 AM on a weekday—selection is deepest, parking is easiest, and the staff has time to walk you through pairings. If you're staying in a villa, call ahead: they can put together a curated case and coordinate delivery timing so nothing rides around warm in your rental Mini-Moke.

The Practical Stuff

Located at ZA Les Tamarins, 97133 Saint-Barthélemy, in the Petite Saline commercial area, roughly halfway between the airport and Grand Cul-de-Sac. Open Monday to Saturday, 7:30 AM to 12:30 PM (closed afternoons and Sundays—plan accordingly). Contact team@bottleandmore.fr to pre-order or arrange villa/yacht provisioning. Parking is easy on-site. Card payments accepted; bring an insulated tote if you're heading straight to the beach.

Pair It With

  • Grand Cul-de-Sac beach — Grab a chilled rosé or Champagne here in the morning, then set up for a long, low-key beach afternoon just minutes away.
  • Le Guanahani (Grand Cul-de-Sac) — Bring a special bottle back to your suite—many St Barth hotels allow in-room service of guest-purchased wine, and the sunset views deserve a grand cru.
  • Maya's or Bonito (Gustavia) — Pre-dinner stop: pick up a magnum for a beach club after-party or a nightcap rhum vieux to take back to the villa.
  • Saint-Jean beach picnic — Pair a Sancerre or Provençal rosé with a takeaway lunch from a nearby traiteur—Bottle and More is a five-minute detour on the way.
