The Experience
St. Kitts Eco-Park is part demonstration farm, part botanical showpiece, and part renewable-energy experiment. Spread across roughly twenty acres, the site layers a series of themed gardens — a fragrant rose garden, a spiky desert garden, herb beds and a tropical orchard — around a striking greenhouse complex. The park's signature quirk is its topiary maze clipped into the shapes of Taiwan and St. Kitts, a nod to the bilateral agricultural project that created the park. Wander the paths slowly: the elevated western setting serves up sweeping views toward the sea, and the light in late afternoon is superb for photography. Note that access has become limited in recent years — the park is generally visited via pre-arranged tours, appointments or special events (it's a popular wedding venue), so plan ahead rather than turning up on spec.
What to Try
Head straight for the topiary maze shaped like the islands of Taiwan and St. Kitts — it's the park's most photographed feature and best appreciated from the elevated vantage points. Then take your time in the rose garden, a rarity in the tropics, before contrasting it with the cacti and succulents of the desert garden. Inside the greenhouse, look for the agritourism demonstrations showing how hydroponics and solar power support local food production. If your visit lines up with golden hour, stay for the sunset over the Caribbean — locals rate this stretch of coast as one of the best places on the island to watch the sky change color.

Don't just show up — the Eco-Park is no longer reliably open for walk-in visits.
