On race days the atmosphere is pure Caribbean motorsport: sound systems thumping soca and dancehall between runs, families set up under tents, jerk pans smoking on the sidelines, and drivers from St. Maarten, Antigua, St. Croix and Santo Domingo trailering in exotic builds. Bring a real camera: the combination of burnouts, palm trees, and ocean backdrop is unlike any other track on earth. If nothing's on the calendar, it's still worth driving past to see the setup and take photos from the sand-trap end.
