The Experience
Opened in December 2021 as a symbol of the decades-long friendship between St Kitts and Nevis and Taiwan, this 11-acre park transformed a stretch of the Pinneys coastline into a lively cultural and recreational hub. The centrepiece is a glass-domed, fully air-conditioned Visitors Center with a turf-covered roof, orientation videos, meeting spaces and sweeping views across the grounds to the sea. Outside, a lawn amphitheatre hosts concerts and cultural events, a children's playground keeps families busy, and roughly 3,000 native plantings weave shady paths across eight landscaped acres. Sustainability is baked in ΓÇö solar panels, LED lighting and water-conserving fixtures throughout ΓÇö and the park is named after the late Hon. Malcolm Guishard, a former Nevisian Minister of Tourism whose portrait now anchors the visitor centre.
What to Try
Start with the orientation video and portrait exhibit inside the glass-domed Visitors Center to get a feel for both the park's history and Nevisian political heritage. Wander the landscaped grounds to see the Taiwan-Nevis friendship plantings, then climb up to the amphitheatre for the best photo angle back toward Pinneys Beach. If you're travelling with kids, factor in playground and arcade time.
