Why Go

There's something wonderfully unexpected about tucking into a plate of butter chicken and warm garlic naan while tree frogs chirp and the Caribbean night breeze rolls in off Pinney's Beach. Indian Summer is one of Nevis's most beloved dining destinations ΓÇö a labor of love from Mumbai-born Vikas Pariani, who traded India for the islands and built a restaurant that consistently ranks among the very best on the island.

The Experience

Set in the Nelson Spring Business Complex at Cades Bay, roughly three kilometers north of the Four Seasons, Indian Summer feels far more atmospheric than its business-park address suggests. Inside, the dining room glows warm with candlelight and traditional touches, while the open-air terrace is where regulars prefer to linger ΓÇö sipping cold Caribs and mango lassis as the kitchen sends out plate after plate of fragrant curries. The service is genuinely warm (Vikas himself often works the room), the pace is unhurried island-style, and the spice levels are dialed to your preference rather than watered down for tourists. It's the kind of place where a two-hour dinner easily stretches to three.

What to Try

Start with the crispy vegetable samosas or the seekh kebabs from the tandoor, then commit to the butter chicken ΓÇö silky, tomato-rich, and widely considered the island's best. Vegetarians should not miss the saag paneer, which regulars rave about, and the dal makhani is slow-cooked and deeply comforting. Order a garlic naan and a plain basmati to soak everything up, and if you're a lamb eater, the rogan josh is a standout. Finish with kulfi or a spiced masala chai.

Insider Tip

Skip Monday lunch ΓÇö the restaurant only opens for dinner that day (5pmΓÇô10pm). For the best table, call ahead (+1 869-469-5410) and request the terrace; it fills up fast in high season, especially with Four Seasons guests who taxi over. If you're staying at a villa, ask about takeaway ΓÇö the curries travel beautifully and reheat perfectly for a next-day lunch.
