Jolly Harbour Marina Office
Your first stop for berthing, boatyard bookings, and local know-how on Antigua's calm west coast
Why Go
Every great Antigua sailing story on the leeward side starts at the same little desk. The Jolly Harbour Marina Office is the nerve centre of one of the Caribbean's largest full-service marinas — the place where captains check in, cruisers swap passage notes, and the dock team on VHF 68 guides you into a flat-calm, hurricane-sheltered lagoon.
The Experience
Radio ahead on VHF Channel 68 and the dock crew will meet you at your berth — the marina holds around 155 slips for yachts under 24 metres, plus superyacht berths up to 30 metres and lagoon moorings for bigger vessels, all on modern floating docks with bow-to, stern-to, or alongside options. The office itself handles the paperwork side of paradise: berth assignments, water and electricity hook-ups, boatyard and haul-out scheduling, and pointers on clearing customs and immigration at this official port of entry. Step outside and you're in the heart of Jolly Harbour village, with a supermarket, chandlery, restaurants, golf course, and one of Antigua's best beaches all within a short stroll of your transom.
What to Try
Book a stern-to berth on the main dock so you can step straight off into the village — then let the office arrange a haul-out quote at the adjoining boatyard if you're planning storage or antifoul work. Even if you're not arriving by boat, wander the docks at sunset: the marina walkway is one of the west coast's most pleasant free evening strolls.
Insider Tip
Hail the dock team on VHF Channel 68 before you enter the channel rather than arriving unannounced — they work 7am to 5pm daily and will talk you onto the dock, which matters in the narrow approach. In high season (November to May) the office runs 8am to 5pm every day, but berths fill fast around regatta weeks like Antigua Sailing Week, so email or WhatsApp ahead to reserve.
