About Deep Bay

Deep Bay is a beautiful, protected bay with a crescent-shaped beach of soft white sand and exceptionally clear, calm turquoise waters that resemble a natural swimming pool. Protected by headlands, it offers tranquil conditions ideal for swimming and relaxation. A key feature is the visible Andes shipwreck just offshore, making it excellent for snorkeling with good visibility of marine life. The north end remains natural and less crowded, while the south has development from the Royalton resort. Above the beach are the ruins of historic Fort Barrington, reachable by a short hike, adding historical interest to the natural beauty. Nearby: Fort Barrington ruins, Royalton Antigua resort, Andes shipwreck, St. John's Access: Accessible near Five Islands village west of St. John's; public access available, though some areas influenced by resort; parking available; no entry fees for the beach
